Our project is a split vertical keyboard and wrist support optimized for our client, who is affected by Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. We went through 2 Q&A sessions to learn about our client's condition and used it to design our keyboard. We went through multiple prototypes and design reviews, where we got feedback from other students and faculty to refine our solution. Our final solution is a split keyboard with a keyboard on the front and back of each side. The keyboard has an optimized key layout that decreases the motion needed to reach keys. The keyboard also has O-rings installed under the keys to decrease the force needed to press keys. The keyboard is also customizable so the user can change the incline to whatever they prefer. The keyboard also comes with a wrist support that keeps the hand level with the keyboard and can be rotated to match the incline level.
